NAME: Michael Andrew Johnson (?)
DOB: July 14, 1981
AGE: 18
RACE: Human
ALLEGIANCE: Road Rovers
DESCRIPTION: Mike has blondish hair that often is more abundant in the front, though sometimes he will grow it into a ponytail in the back. He's fairly tall (a bit shorter than the other Rovers naturally. He's about 5'8" or so), and of low build. On occassion he wears a basball cap, but usually is seen with a white t-shirt and blue jeans and red and grey sneakers. Here and there he will sport a red shirt and jean jacket, or a Rover flight jacket.
DEMEANOR: For a teenager, Mike is quite mature, and enjoys a bit of adventure now and then. He's easy to get along with and a loyal friend. The Rovers find him to be a welcome addition to the pack, even if he is the only real human besides the Master. Mike is loving, caring, generous, and full of life, and possesses the qualities of a kind-hearted soul and companion. He also has a closer friendship with Hunter and Exile that with the others, though he cares about them all equally, and is admired and respected by all of them (Blitz will RARELY admit it, though). Mike is what you could call a true hero.
SOME HISTORY: Mike's history has many twists and crossovers to that of the Rovers, some of which are still a mystery ( to him and the Rovers, at least ). Mike had a mother, a father (who saw Mike more than Mike saw him, so to speak. Mike has no recollection of who his father is), and a little sister. Mike's father always had problems with snooping individuals and people trying to steal or copy his work, so he left Los Angeles to work in New Mexico when Mike turned 2. Also, when Mike was born, he was given a secondary last name of Johnson so that the same people after his father would not come after him years down the road. Mike's mother raised him with the utmost care and helped him grow to be a genuine young boy. For Mike's 11th birthday, he was given the opportunity to get a puppy for a companion. At the shelter Mike and his mother found a golden retreiver mother who was watching over her 8-week-old pups. Mike found the most interest in the "runt" of the litter, and despite dissuasion from other people working there, he chose the puppy and took him home (the puppy was named later on the next day, after the pup found one of Mike's missing socks easily). Life seemed wonderful until a year later. A few days after Mike's 12th birthday, the family was to visit Mike's uncle in Russia, but Mike wasn't feeling too well and decided to stay behind with his dog while his mother and sister left. When Mike turned on the news late that evening, he discovered that a plane had crashed near Moscow, which had apparently been sabotaged. Unfortunately, it was the same plane that his mother and sister had boarded, and Mike cried harder than ever before. With the two members of his home gone, Mike had no one else to go to, for "coincidentally" his relations in Russia, Germany, England, and Switzerland had become no more around the same date as the plane crash. A week later, Mike's dog was taken back by the pound, and within a month, the house was repossessed by the state, and Mike was on his own...that is, until shortly after Mike turned 15. It was late at night, and after wandering for the entire day with little money, Mike stumbled upon one of Parvo's bases (where tinhead was currently), and he decided to see what was going on. He eventually was caught, until the Rovers showed up and blew up the place. Once the deed was done, however, they noticed Mike crawling from out of the rubble and rushed him to get medical attention back at Mission Control. Mike's condition was critical, and he needed a blood transfusion quickly. The Rovers were the only possible donors, so they did so, and also transferred some of their strength to help the teen live. They saved Mike's life though this, and awoke the next morning dizzy and disoriented. The Rovers greeted him warmly and told him what had happened. They had just finished recollecting the series of events when they were called to take care of Parvo again. Though told to stay behind, Mike snuck onto the SkyRover. Due to Blitz's loud mouth yapping, the Rovers were caught and tied up over a pit of acid (ouch). Mike had closely followed the canomutants to the spot, and without a second to spare, he dashed right over the pit, snatched up the Rovers, and brought them to safety ("dashed" over the pit? Hmm...). When all was taken care of, Hunter explained to the Master what took place, and after Mike was asked to repeat his movements in the rescue, the Master declared that without a doubt Mike had obtained super powers through the Rovers' physical sacrifices the night before. Mike asked if he could join the Road Rovers because of his new abilities, but was quickly turned down. Saddened, Mike turned and walked away (after giving the Rovers and the Master something to think about in a big speech). They all began to have second thoughts, and after 2 minutes of debating, they decided that Mike should join the Road Rovers, seeing that he might be a valuable asset. Hunter ran after Mike, stopped him, and began to explain that they changed their minds, but halfway though, Hunter went silent and looked carefully at Mike, and finally figured out why he kept getting strange vibes every time the teen looked at him: this was indeed his master that he had been taken away from years ago. Both were amazed and overjoyed at the same time. Finally feeling reunited, they hugged each other with tears in their eyes, and returned to the others to tell the news. In a grand (and cool) ceremony, Mike was inducted as the newest member of the Road Rovers, and the first human Road Rover.
SUPER POWERS: Mike has Hunter's super running ability, and leaves a trail of multicolored fire in his tracks. He can conjure up ice and heat rays from his hands, not from his eyes like Exile, and has night vision to an extent. Martial arts are second nature to him with Colleen's abilities, and is a little bit stronger due to the abilities he gained from Shag, Blitz, and Exile. The Rover-obtained abilities are a bit limited, though, mainly due to the fact that abilities were mixed in the process, and as a result, were kind of "diluted," so to speak, so they are somewhat weaker than the abilities of the Rovers themselves. His ability to use them is a bit limited as well, since some of the abilities require more strength to use than others, naturally.....however, his unique ability is to be able to change into any of the Rovers whenever he pleases, with that Rover's abilities almost in full, too, making him a very versatile and indispensable member of the pack.
