Following him is a female canine that somewhat resembles Zudnik. ZUDNIK: *from the opposite end* Dylan! Come here! DYLAN: *surprised* Hey Zud! What's up? The two meet up. ZUDNIK: *looking behind him* It's okayski. You don't have to be shy around Dylan. DYLAN: *cocks his head a bit* Hmm? From behind Zudnik emerges the female canine, though a bit slowly. DYLAN: Who's this, Zud? ZUDNIK: *turning to Dylan, smiling* Follow me to the transdogmafier room and I'll introduce you. Zudnik starts down the hall again, the canine following him. DYLAN: *scratching his head* Um...okay... He follows. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At the transdogmafier room, the Master is waiting up on a balcony as Zudnik, Dylan, and the canine enter. MASTER: Ahh, Zudnik. You're back. ZUDNIK: *nodding* Da, Master. She's here as well. DYLAN: Who? MASTER: Okay, then lead her into the transdogmafier, Zudnik. The Master smiles. Dylan is a bit confused. Zudnik walks over to a transdogmafier and the canine follows him. ZUDNIK: *bending down to the canine* Well, in you go. The canine walks slowly to the transdogmafier, but stops and turns her head back to Zudnik. He smiles. ZUDNIK: It's okay. Go on. The canine finally enters the transdogmafier.....as she transdogmafies, Zudnik, Dylan and the Master look on. DYLAN: New recruit, Zuddy? ZUDNIK: *nodding* Da, with permission from her and the Master. DYLAN: Permission? How so? MASTER: Zudnik asked if she could join the Road Rovers and help us out. DYLAN: I see...but who is she? As the transdogmafier dies down, from the light and mist emerges the canine, now a canosapien. She is grey and white with black ears and grey hair a bit past her shoulders ending in black, and looks somewhat similar to Zudnik. She is wearing a dark red t-shirt, grey shorts, and maroon, ankle-high laced boots and white socks. She looks around for a moment. CANOSAPIEN: *looking at herself* Hmm, not bad, I guess. DYLAN: *smiling* Um, hi there. CANOSAPIEN: *looking at Dylan* Oh hi. *to Zudnik* Zuddy, is this your friend? ZUDNIK: *nodding* Da. DYLAN: I'm Dylan. Nice to meet you...uh... ZUDNIK: *walking over to the canosapien and putting his arm around her* Dylan, I'd like you to meet my little sister, Skia. DYLAN: Sister?.......*thinks for a moment* Oh yeah, now I remember. You told me you had a sister. SKIA: *turning to Zudnik* Is this the Dylan you tell me about? ZUDNIK: Da, Skia. My best comerade Dylan. SKIA: Oooohh......*turning to Dylan* Nice to finally meet you. *smiling* Zuddy told me nice things about you, *looking over Dylan* though you not quite what I imagined... DYLAN: *biting lip* Oh.... SKIA: *realizing what she said* Oh geez, I'm sorry Dylan. That was kind of rude, huh? DYLAN: *shaking head* Nah, that's okay. No big deal. MASTER: Mind if I cut in for a moment? ZUDNIK: Oh sorry, Master. MASTER: *nodding* Skia, I'd like to welcome you to Road Rover Mission Control. I'm sure Dylan and your brother will give you a thorough tour of the complex. SKIA: Thank you very much. DYLAN: Well, shall we get going now? SKIA: *smiling* Sure! ZUDNIK: This way, Skia. Zudnik walks off towards a nearby door as Skia follows him. The Master leaves. Then, from another door, enters Carmen. Dylan sees her coming. DYLAN: Hi Carmen! How's everything? CARMEN: Just fine, Dyl. Listen, how about -. *noticing Zudnik and Skia leaving* Oh...... DYLAN: Hmm? What's wrong? CARMEN: *frowning* Nothing......who's that with Zudnik? DYLAN: Oh that's his sister, Skia. She's a new recruit CARMEN: *breathes a sigh of relief and smiles* Whew...I thought he was with... DYLAN: I know. Don't worry, that is indeed his sister, Carmen. It's okay. CARMEN: *nodding* Yeah... DYLAN: I gotta go follow them. I'll see you later okay? CARMEN: Okay. Dylan takes off in the direction that Zudnik and Skia left. Carmen stands there for a moment and takes out a small picture....of Zudnik...and sighs. CARMEN: *to the picture* I thought I'd lost you... She puts the picture in her pocket and walks off. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Back with Zudnik, Skia, and Dylan, they come to the Motor Pool, where apparently DJ is busying fixing up the Street Rover. ZUDNIK: This is the motor pool, Skia. Most vehicles we use are stored and maintained here. SKIA: That's cool. DYLAN: Hey Deej! DJ turns around, a bit surprised. DJ: Hey Dyl! Hey Zudnik! He wipes his hands and walks over to them. DJ: What're you guys up to? ZUDNIK: We're showing my sister around Mission Control. DJ: Sister, eh? *looking at Skia* Hi. SKIA: Hiya. My name's Skia. DJ: *light laugh* Heh, funny how that rhymes. *extending a hand* The name's DJ. Nice to meet you, Skia. SKIA: *shaking DJ's hand* Nice to meet you too, DJ. DYLAN: So whatcha up to there, Deej? DJ: Eh, just fixing up the Street Rover a bit. The battery's a bit fudgy at the moment, so I'm seeing what I can do to get it working right again. There's a small fuel leak too, so I'm taking care of that. ZUDNIK: Well, we'll let you go back to your work, DJ. We have to continue showing Skia aroundski. DJ: *nodding* Okay, guys. I'll see ya later then. DYLAN: Laters, Deej. DJ walks back to the Street Rover. DJ: See ya! Dylan, Zudnik, and Skia continue down the hall. SKIA: He was nice. DYLAN: Yep, sure is. SKIA: Well, where to next? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ten minutes later, they arrive at the lounge. Dervish, Maui, Rex, and Cobber are at a table playing a card game while Alethia, Dawn, and Molly are talking on the sofa. Dervish notices the three outside the door. DERVISH: Dyl! Zudnik! What's up, you guys? The others turn and notice. COBBER: Heya! MAUI: Hi guys! ALETHIA: *getting up* Hi. Who's your friend there? DYLAN: Everyone, we'd like you to meet Zudnik's sister, Skia. SKIA: Hi. REX: Hi Skia. Nice to have a new recruit around. DAWN: Yup yup. *walking over to Skia* This is the lounge. It's pretty much where you can relax and enjoy yourself. Wanna join us? There's lots to do here. SKIA: Thanks, but I think I'll pass for now. I still want to see the rest of this place. MOLLY: Well okay. Come by anytime. *turning to Dawn and Alethia* I'm gonna see what DJ's up to. Wanna come? DAWN: Okay. ALETHIA: Sure. I'm game. MOLLY: Okay then. She walks out the door with Dawn and Alethia. They all turn and wave down the hall. MOLLY: See ya! DAWN: Bye Skia! Bye Dyl! Bye Zuddy! ALETHIA: We'll see you guys later! SKIA: Bye! DYLAN: Laters! ZUDNIK: *turning to the other guys* Well, we'll be going too. DERVISH: Eh, okay. Welcome aboard, Skia. MAUI: Agreed. Welcome. SKIA: Thanks. DYLAN: See ya! The three continue on their way as Cobber, Dervish, Maui, and Rex look on. REX: Well, she seems to be very sweet. MAUI: Pretty too. DERVISH: Anywho, let's get back to our game, huh? COBBER: *nodding* Yeah. They return to their table. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fifteen minutes later, they return to the transdogmafier room. SKIA: Wow, I didn't realize this place was so big. DYLAN: Yeah, it's pretty huge. SKIA: Gee, I didn't think there were so many other Rovers around here. A lot of the guys were kinda cute. ZUDNIK: *cocks eyebrow* Cute? Looking already? SKIA: *laughs* Nah, not yet, I think. But really, some were quite attractive. ZUDNIK: *rolling his eyes* And what about the tourski? SKIA: Oh the tour was great. Thanks Zuddy. Thanks Dylan. DYLAN: *nodding* You're welcome, Skia. ZUDNIK: *yawning* Well, I have some things to take care of. Feel free to walk around wherever, Skia. SKIA: Okay. Bye bye! DYLAN: See ya, Zud. ZUDNIK: So long... He leaves. Skia turns to Dylan. SKIA: Dylan? DYLAN: Hmm? SKIA: Uh.....*rubbing her arms* .....do you think I'll ever.......find someone? DYLAN: Find someone? Like how? SKIA: Well, I mean, I know my brother is usually busy or doing other things, and sometimes I'm really lonely and all... DYLAN: *nodding* I think I know what you're referring to...someone to love. SKIA: Yeah. DYLAN: I understand, Skia. I'm certain you'll find someone. SKIA: *sigh* You think so? DYLAN: Of course. Who knows when, but it'll happen. SKIA: *smiling* Thanks Dylan. It's nice to have friends like you around. DYLAN: *blushing* It was nothing. SKIA: *relieved sigh* So, you think I'll find him soon? DYLAN: Who? SKIA: Mr. Right. DYLAN: *shrugging* Dunno. It can happen at any time, really. You know when you -. From the door behind them come Maui and Rex. They run up to them. REX: Hi you two! Wanna join us for lunch? DYLAN: Sure. What's for lunch? MAUI: Dunno, but whatever it is, it'll probably be good anyway. He turns to Skia. MAUI: Oh, sorry, Skia. *extending a hand* I'm Maui. SKIA: *shaking Maui's hand* Hello. Pleased to meet you. REX: And I'm Rex. SKIA: Nice to meet you too, Rex. MAUI: Will you join us? SKIA: Sure. I'm kinda hungry, really. DYLAN: Okay then. Let's get going. Skia smiles as she, Maui, Dylan, and Rex walk towards the direction of the kitchen. THE END
