The Plot

Professor William Shephard, a promising scientist, created a machine called the transdogmafier. This device could alter the forms of canines to have humanistic traits and forms. When an evil villian called General Parvo kidnaps Shephard's dog in ransom for the transdogmafier blueprints, Shephard submits and hands them over, only to find he had been double-crossed. As a result, his lab is destroyed, leaving little remaining...

Exile      One year later, five canines are summoned to the remains of the lab, which has surprisingly been rebuilt underground by Shephard (who amazingly survived the destruction of his lab a year prior). These five dogs are Hunter the mutt, Colleen the collie, Exile the Siberian husky, Blitz the doberman, and Shag the sheepdog. With them is also a rottweiler named Muzzle. Shephard, now referred to as "The Master", has the canines enter the newly-built transdogmafiers, turning them into "canosapiens" (human-like dogs). Each of the dogs had its own unique special powers, all of great use to the group. Muzzle remained unchanged, though...
The dogs, now called Road Rovers, are sent on their first mission to stop Parvo from gaining a gene-splicing device. When the Rovers return victorious, each is given a home with the world leader of their respective countries of origin. And with that begin the adventures and exploits of the Road Rovers. Blitz
